Markers. How to start?

My very first markers were won in an art challenge 3 years ago. It was Copic markers basic colors pack. If not for that, I'd never ever got professional markers. "Do you seriously think that 7 euros for one marker is OK?" :) I thought that markers and schools felt-tip pens were the same. I used them like a felt-tips and didn't really understand what's a schtick. I had a real shock when I saw reallistics artworks made with markers!
So let’s talk about how to start with markers?

Sketchbook tour. My first flowers sketches.

Hi, everyone!

What's your own art story? I decided to take a brake from longreads and just to show you my old sketches.

Sketchbook tour. My first flowers sketches.

Flowers were my hook to get back to artists way. Before I found out this topic, I didn't have a basic idea of what I wanted to do. I drew several art challenges for different topics. I was definitely successful, I have even won some prizes. But I thought that I can drawing only on demand. Somebody gives me a task and I draw that they want. I didn't have my own ideas. And once I got a reference of a blooming magnolia in a random account on Instagram. And suddenly I sat down by my desk and opened sketchbook. Nobody asked me. It was my good will. I was free to do it or to do not.

Next day I have shared my sketch on Instagram. And while I was writing the post I realized that I liked the fact. I have drew the flower. It was so soft, so delicate. I wanted to share what I saw in it. It was my goal, my hook. It was a wonderful feeling.

So there are a few my very first sketches which brought me to my art language. Welcome to my flowers sketchbook!

What is your inspiration?

What is my inspiration? How awkward I feel from this question! Like, what do you exactly mean by that? However, I have my own relationship with inspiration!

How to get out of art block?

Guys, hi!

Do you know this exhausting feeling?

I was like a finished tube of toothpaste. I've been putting so much pressure on myself with no results. Day by day, month by month. It was hard from very beginning but resent Inktober and coming New Year’s eve and Christmas made me brave. I thought I had a lot of toothpaste in the tube. I just need to push harder… But nothing was happening

So long time I didn't do anything good. I didn't write posts. didn't draw illustrations. It was a long and exhausting situation. But I'm done with it. I’m here right now. And I want to share with you what helped me to survive such a deep art block and what I learned from it. Hope it will be useful for you.
